Not looking good for us Gulf Coasters.. 40% chance of rain, cloudy.

For those who have clear night skies, it will be well worth staying up for. I've seen them here during the winter months, and the show is amazing!

My kid basically spent the night on the beach.
For awhile there was cloud cover, but then it cleared and he counted 41 meteors, including a few "fireballs" with streaky little tails.
I stood out in the alley and only saw one, but at least I saw that.
We're pretty close to Jax here, the city light can kind of get in the way.
Last summer we were on the Gulf, with a much better night sky, but we did not see that many. Being on a beach facing east helps.

I was so upset I missed it! I just couldn't stay up any longer. They predicited this year would be even better than others because of the New Moon....so sad... : (

Glad some Floridians could catch the light show!

We're supposed to get another meteor shower show in September stargazers,
ALTHOUGH, it is supposed to favor the West Coast for the window of oppty.
Hopefully, we'll catch some strays as darkness falls! At least it will be cooler outside.

is there any tonight Meteors showers or is it over i was st the beach lastnight but the clouds were just in the way.I live in bradenton fl ??????any ideas
