Remember the story about a dead woman found locked in her car in the garage of her house for over a year before she was discovered by someone who bought her house in a bank foreclosure auction? This was emailed to me by a friend in St. Pete. It's sad to think there are people out there right now who are living and dying the way Kathryn Norris did.

Recall reading the story in the STP Times a few weeks ago. Lady had bipolar disorder - hard to maintain relationships or be responsible citizens w/ that illness.

Very sad that a person can just be so overlooked in her life. Very sad...

This is very sad. I can relate to this, the depression and confusion from divorce, the panic from less than enough money to live on. She was on a downward spiral and should have reached out to those who were physically around her instead of drawing inward. This is why one needs to continue to make friends at an older age particularly if you move to a new community. A church family would have been a good option for her. Apparently she never had kids to intervene.

Hard to believe that even the Realtor or bank representative never saw her in the car when the house was being shown during a whole year. Or neighbors. Amazing that people are so callous as not to have looked for the poor woman.

Very sad. The story was longer than it needed to be. All those pills she took may have made the situation worse.
