Psst.
That's not what this is about.
We may be one country, but there are two Floridas. I have no doubts about which one is better to live in, but that's just my personal opinion. It just so happens that the areas relatively unaffected by immigration from the Northeast are unspoiled, unpaved, and not yet ruined with overdevelopment.

I didn't come to Florida for beaches. I never went to the beaches where I was. Why would I now? I used to hibernate in the summer. Now, I will have to hibernate ALL YEAR.

Well, you are in Naples.
Naples represents Naples. It is nothing like where I live.

Thanks for ruining what was once a beautiful state. As for the Civil War, as I told that other guy, that's not what this is about.
And I don't depend on tourist cash, so you can keep that too.
As for South Florida, y'all ruined it, so you can have it.

there really does seem to be 2 different florida's. one is overcrowded, ppl are more rude, impatient, and drive like idiots. i do think there are many great ppl from the northeast, but, there does seem to be a common theme in fla. the cities that are really popular with the northeasterners usually are the cities that are known for being more crowded, ppl more impatient and rude, and drive bad. just my 2 cents.

It's a fact.
Anyway no one is trying to rekindle the Second War of Independence.
I have no problem with people from the Northeast per se, or with anyone else based on their geographic location.
I do have a problem with carpetbagging, loudmouthed, ignorant pushy uncultured jerks that move down here and crap all over the place, and then complain about the smell.

and who attends those preseason games? it is pretty disappointing when you go to a marlins game or a devil rays game and more ppl are cheering for the yanks than the hometeam!?! or go to a dolphins game vs the jets, and you here ppl shouting "j-e-t-s, jets, jets, jets!"
i actually like the yanks, but i am a floridian.
