Hey everyone. I'm trying to locate a very nice restaurant in the Panama City area. Four or five stars is preferred. Basically its a place where I can take the misses too so we can have a night out all dressed up & enjoy ourselves. Price isn't a concern. I'm constantly reminded of the saying, "A happy wife is a happy life."All input is appreciated. I'm even up for a drive too, as long as I don't end up 100 miles in the middle of nowhere.

i don't go to a whole lot of fancy restaurants, but i've heard good things about Firefly and of course the ol standby, Captain Andersons. I thought the Boatyard was ok, but people love it and it's got a nice atmosphere, on the water (in town).
you could always drive to destin. it's about a 45 minute drive, and you'll get some fancier and more expensive stuff over there.

For higher end, I'd look a bit westward into the more affluent Beaches of South Walton area. I've heard good things about Caliza and at the least, it's got an impressive setting:

Caliza Restaurant at Alys Beach

Other places in that area with good reputations for a special occasion:

Cafe Tango - European Inspired Coastal Cuisine

Caf Thirty-A Restaurant: Walton County Florida

BASMATI'S ASIAN CUISINE

Waterfront Seafood Restaurant | Fish Out of Water - WaterColor Resort - Santa Rosa Beach, FL

If you want really nice and ritzy try out Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Destin.

They definitely have 5 star prices but the food their will BLOW YOUR MIND.
And not in that southern "oh thats good cookin" kind of way. You can order a steak well done and it not be afraid of it coming out wrong there. Definitely a top notch place.

If you want to stay in PC, I've heard Captain Andersons is really good. The Lady Anderson dinner cruise always looks fancy, but I've never been myself.
