Vacationing here, is not the same as living here.... All I have to say.

So true, and that goes for anywhere, not just Florida.

I agree. When you are on vacation everything is great and it is such a downer when you have to go back to your same ole, same ole. I am sure when you move to a beach it is so much fun and then you get into the groove of a routine and need a vacation from a vacation spot. Can't wait!!

We went to the beach today and had 5 dolphins swimming 10 feet away. Daily grind or not that is awesome. I lived in Alaska, very much a vacation spot and fell into to same ole same ole routine, but I refuse to do that here. All depends on your mindset IMO.

doug1980...that is awesome!!! Dolphins are so neat to watch. With so much to see and do in Florida I hope not to fall into a boring routine. Just having the option to go to the beach any day is enough for me to fall in love

Is the ocean side of Florida much different then the gulf side, other than the obvious like the water.

To some degree. East Coast has more New Yorkers/New Englanders while the West Coast has more Midwesterners. When you get down towards Miami, you'll notice that the metro areas are dozens of miles long, but only a few miles wide due to the Everglades. Just superficial things, really.
