From my understanding it is from the time they are named until after they are no longer a threat. Some companies are 'iffy' about writing at all during our "real" Hurricane season...which every Floridian knows is from August through the first or second week in Oct.

I keep praying for a few more years with no hurricanes making landfall in Florida! We need it!

i guess I was hoping for something more specific, but companies prolly vary.
We wrote a policy in August years ago, so I know it's do-able.

Hey didn't they say we would have 14 hurricanes last year ....mmmm how many did we have?

Look for Mother Nature to play catch up this year! If they start going every two weeks, no policies...
