Does anyone know anything about about WillowBrooke in Lakeland? It sounds like a good place and rent is a little high but somewhere I read they pay water/sewer/pest control/trash and a basic cable subscription. It's $650-$675 for a 1 BR but with everything it comes with that's not bad. It seems like it had an OK rating on apartmentrating but I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the place.

Here is the web site for WillowBrooke... Welcome

Can't tell you about the complex per se, but it is in THE best area of Lakeland - Oakbridge and the Grasslands are very upscale, it's just a super area. And you are just about walking distance to the fabulous new open-air mall, Lakeside Village, which was created to be almost an alternate downtown. If you like the apartments, I would say they are probably worth the price.

Good luck!

About 1 hour to the west coast (Clearwater or Anna Maria)

1.30 hours to the east coast (Cocoa)

I live in Willobrooke at Oakbridge. These are in the top three as far as nicest apartments in Lakeland. They're in the best location. It's directly next to the Polk County Parkway so if you work in Tampa or Orlando, it's quick. Also, it's directly across from Lakeside Village which is an open air mall with a theater, restaurants, and shopping. Walk to Starbucks in all of 3 minutes.

They're building new apartments in Lakeside Village so you may wish to check there as they will be brand new. I'm not sure of the cost yet.

They do a good job of landscaping and upkeep at Willowbrooke. The pool and work out room are always spotless. The staff is friendly and the neighbors are all very nice.

The only negative thing is the kitchen appliances. They're a bit dated as this place was built about 30 years ago.

I pay $690 for a 1 bedroom. It's getting to the point where next time my lease is up, it's going to be cheaper to buy a condo, so I'll wind up doing that.

It's a renters market in Lakeland, so you can work your own price for places that aren't in a premium location like Willowbrooke.

Good luck to you!

We are looking into moving from Ohio to Lakeland and need help looking for an apartment. We would need at least a 3 bedroom, in a nice area. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Trying not to spend to much on rent. Thanks.

you can try village at lake highland, south lakeland area 33813 area code, better part of Lakeland, 3 bedrooms are around $1000. There is also the Alexan right beside lakeside village , those are 1200-1300 or so I believe for the 3bdrm.
you can go to rent.com to see, you would want to live in south lakeland vs north lakeland
