Did anyone notice or has anyone noticed, that the traffic in your area is lighter than previous summers?

I've been talking to friends and family in our area, Sarasota County, and they are all telling me the same thing. Last summer, and previous summers, the roads were much more conjested.

Just wondering, if this is true in your area?
If so, do you think it, has anything to do with an economic downturn or are people leaving the area?

Yes, much less traffic in the Fort Myers area. I believe it is the lack of construction vehicles. Home building has come to a stop.

Less traffic in Bradenton. I was in North Port over the weekend and was actually able to make a left across US 41 without having to go down to the light.

The real thing will be the traffic over the winter.......

I haven't noticed in Lake County. Orange county seems worse than ever. Can't wait for the Apopka bypass.

I was thinking the same over our way. I drive from
Weston to Plantation (west Broward or west Ft Laudedale area). My commute time was down at least 10 - 15 minutes.

If I had to guess I would say $3/gallon of gas tends to do the trick!!!Down here in Miami I wouldn't say the traffic has gotten better, but in my opinion it hasn't gotten worse!!But it's still bad!!!
