Default Tallahassee, Quincy & Perry Questions

Hey all

My company has openings in Quincy and Perry in northern Florida. Out of these two towns both have gotten a lot of negative remarks on this forum with Perry seeming to be the nicer of the two. However, If I take the position in Quincy, I can live near Tallahassee.

First off, I'm single and do not need to worry about schools etc. Also, I definitely prefer to live outside of town and don't need malls, clubs and big name stores. I'm pretty much content with a Wal Mart and a gas station. I guess my ideal situation would be to rent a small house or even a nicer double-wide out in the country within reasonable driving distance to work, say less than 20 minutes or so. I have a couple of weeks to decide and I am planning on visiting the area. Can anybody recommend some starting points on where to begin looking. Thanks

Here is some demographics on Quincy you can check out. It seems to have a very high crime rate.

If you are looking for a home in the Quincy area, you might want to consider Midway. It is about a 10 minute drive to Quincy depending on your work location. Depending on your income level, there are some state programs that can get you into a house for 25% less than the purchase price. If you are interested, PM me for more info.
