Hey all - I'm 21 years old and graduating from Nursing school in Pennsylvania this May and I am planning on moving to Florida to get a job! I have been trying to do some research as to what areas to live in/apartments/health care settings but I'm overwhelmed! If anyone can provide some quality information I would very much appreciate it. I have been thinking about the Jacksonville area or Fort Lauderdale maybe? Ideally, I would like to move to an area with a lot of young professionals and a variety of activities to do in my spare time. Again, any and all help would be amazing.

Nurses are still in great demand in Florida...what I would do is get a Resume ready and start to mail them out now...to different hospitals in the area's you are interested...Several years ago my daughter graduated nursing school and she and three of her class mates took a trip to Fort Lauderdale to celebrate...two of them never came back...for just for fun they stopped off at several hospitals an applied for a nursing position...before they left they were offered jobs and of course they took them...

The first few months were difficult...but they rented a room at an extended stay hotel and eventually with the help of their new co-workers found a rental near the beach...neither has any plans of coming back and if I am not mistaken...the only one of the four left in New York is my daughter...
