It sure aint Miami. Can anyone tell me which metro areas in South Florida are generally the most affordable?

Geographically define South Florida.

I genereally draw a line east to west across Florida from the north edge of Lake Okeechobee.

The further North you go, the cheaper it gets (with a couple of exceptions). It's especially more affordable North of Palm Beach County.

What is Homestead looking like these days? Have property/home prices gone way up over the last 5-6 years or so since I left Miami?

I would say anywhere that is encompassed by grow zone 10! Ha-ha, but your analysis works as well.

Is there a Reservation there? When I was looking at schools (to work in), I remember reading something like that. I know it is considered a Title 1 area.

I gave up that idea. If for no other reason, it's too far away from where I live. I am in South Naples, only about 4 miles from Marco.

Immokalee is pretty much a mexican refugee camp, there are drunks, and homless all over the streets. BUT its affordable! They just built a new gated community out there and its a fort literally .Guards posted all around the walls, cement highwalls, gates etc. The crime is unreal in Immokalee, nightly stabbings, shootings, lootings etc.. Buts its affordable!
