I haven't really seen many people talk about this on the forum but, Florida isn't just love for it's weather and beaches. You have to enjoy the first two-time Gold Medal winner nation's best state park system that gets between 500,000-100,000,000 visitors a year. After working as ranger in the Florida park system I have to say mine is...

I live by Wekiva Springs State park and find it very enjoyable. I also like Bowman Beach and Jetty Park.

Tomoka State Park in Ormond Beach is a sentimental favorite of mine (Ormond Beach is my hometown).

I also love Torreya State Park in Liberty County. But Florida does have a GREAT State Park system, with hidden gems everywhere.

My favorite state park is probably Jonathan Dickinson SP in Stuart. They've got an awesome 3 mile paddling trail that ends at a cool historical site.

Fort Zachary Taylor SP in Key West is also really cool. The beach is OK, but the fort itself is really cool.

While not a state park, Little Big Econ State Forest near Stanford is probably one of my favorite places to go hiking. They've got a cool trail that follows the river.
