Default Young family relocating to Palm Coast Florida

Hi everyone! We are a young family with two children ages 2 and 8 months. My husband is a pilot with United and can commute pretty much from anywhere so we have decided to relocate from the Cleveland, Ohio area to Palm Coast. We have visited quite a few times since October and have finally found our dream house in the R section . I'm a bit nervous about not knowing the area very well and I was hoping someone on here might be able to answer the questions I have.
First of all I am looking for a daycare for my children 2-3 days a week and was wondering if anyone has any recomendations? Also I am pursuing my associates degree in nursing. I haven't heard many good things about Daytona State. Is there any other community colleges close by? Or am I wrong about it not being the greatest school? Finally I was wondering what kind of things there are to do with young children. Are there any recreation type classes or library story times?
Hopefully we will be closing at the end of March. I am definitly looking forward to some Florida sunshine!!!

I would repost in the Jacksonville forum where most Palm Coast members tend to be. Good luck!

Good luck!

Welcome to Florida.

Ask as many questions as you can and visit the area if you can before you rent or buy.

Many have moved to Palm Coast and love it but like Lopes stated, ask someone direct who has.

Like some others mentioned, I would keep looking. I don't really understand how people come to the conclusion to move to PC? Did you look at other cities in the area? Port Orange, St Augustine, Jax, Ormond, etc.. or just look at PC only?

You will probably find it boring, most people I know still living in PC want out ASAP, but are just stuck there due to the horrible unemployment rate, foreclosure rate, etc..
