Does anyone know a good obgyn / gynecologist in Palm Beach or Boca area?
I'm desparate, I have been living in FL for 3 years, and saw 2 gynos, both seemed like they got their education from their trailer back yard. It was awful. I'm at the point where I think it's healthier not to go to one than to get the wrong information, but my husband and I are trying to have a baby and I need to find a doctor. I actually need 2, one is for obgyn and the other just as a family doctor. Can anyone recommend anyone? I would really preffer a woman, but if I have no choice I would go to a male doctor. Why is it so hard to find a decent doctor in Florida? Thanks in advance! ![]() |

Dr. Sarah Knowlton in Loxahatchee is the best so says many of my friends for a ob/gyn. The number is 795-2400.

There are two in Boca Raton that I'd recommend: Phyllis Toon and Richard Kowalsky. Dr. Toon has been known not to accept new patients at times.
Dr. K was my OB, he delivered all 3 of my children via c-sections. It wasn't planned that way, it just worked out that way for me. He is a very caring doctor and protective of his patients. |

Eckert on Hillsboro Blvd. Borderline Boca and Deerfield. He delivers babies, babies, babies and was one of the first doctors to introduce natural (no side effect) hormones for wimmen.
I also had surgery by him and for the complications I had, his expertise was a lifesaving experience. Several years later and it's like it never happened. No post-problems like other wimmen have experienced. He's no nonsense but he's good. |

Lisa Hearing in Jupiter delivered two of my children. She's quiet and very professional. I also used Dr. Ron Surowitz in Jupiter for a family doc and he had female nurse practitioners who were good.

Thanks guys for your suggestions, unfortunately my insurance doesn't accept any of the above doctors except for the first doc suggested. Any other suggestions? I have Aetna so most doctors should be accepted.
thanks again so much for your posts! |

If it's the Tara I'm thinking of she is excellent too. Does she have blonde hair and wrote a book?

Try Women's Healthcare in Boca Raton on 18th Street and Powerline.
I have been going there for 13 + years and have had two children through them. I see Dr. Susan Beil but all of them are great. |
