Hello…Sorry I didn’t know what other forums to put this in. I am going on vacation this summer to Key West. I will be proposing to my girlfriend while we are down there.

I am looking for the best/ most romantic restaurant for either before or after the proposal.

I have no idea in stone yet of where or how I am going to do it so if anyone has any suggestions or places to go or think about it would be greatly appreciated. She loves the water and the beach so…..

Thanks for any help with both questions…..

There's a nice sailboat sunset wine tour, we saw two couples get engaged while we were on it a few years ago.

I'm trying to think whether the Tree Top Cafe is romantic or not.

It would be before they close, but I think doing it at the top of the Key West Lighthouse would be really romantic. You'd have a complete view of the island, water, etc.

Problem with diner cruises is you gotta know your partners tolerances to a rocking boat, food and booze, could make for a less than enjoyable occasion, or maybe perfect..
Maybe do a sunset cruise and get the proposing thing out of the way then wine and dine her at a great restaurant on dry land..

My husband and I renewed our Vows at the Dog Beach next to Louie's Backyard 3 yrs. ago. The waves and the water were wonderful and then we went up and had a romantic dinner at Louie'[s.

We stayed at the Waldorf Casa Marina for many years and the grounds are beautiful and perfect for a proposal. Walking on the Pier on the property at sunset is also another good choice.

Michael's restaurant has fantastic food for another day of your trip. Have a wonderful time and the best of luck to the both of you.

The Hot Tin Roof Restaurant at the Ocean Key Resort has a romantic feel and a beautiful view with quieter outdoor dining away from the crowds.
