This neighborhood had a big problem with black teens walking through (the "gated community" was not fenced all the way around) and stealing things. If he wasn't suspicious of this kid who was walking around slowly and loitering in the rain, he'd be negligent of his duty.

We know this kid was at minimum a minor trouble-maker, perhaps worse. He was suspended from school and had been sent away by his parents to straighten up.
So he took the law into his own hands and killed a kid after he was told not to respond. Police don't usually respond quickly to a report of someone walking around.

Remember, Zimmerman was suffering some head wounds. I for one am keeping an open mind.
Can an aggressor claim self defense?

Even if it was zimmerman calling for help, even if zimmerman suffered some head wounds, the fact still remain he hunted an unarmed kid down after he was told by the police to not follow the boy. Trayvon still had the right to defend himself.
Cops did not arrest Zimmerman because they claim it was self defense
Where's the logic in that?
According to police if I decide to hunt someone down with a gun, harass him, get my ask kicked and I shoot to kill, then i can claim self defense and get away with it? Is that right?

I'm getting sick and tired of hearing Hispanics and Blacks in the news and someone getting killed. All I see anymore around here are minorities and some kind of crime. Where the hell is the parenting anymore, you know Moms and Dads whoopin some ass.

It sounds like a stupid hate crime and Zimmerman seems more like an Archie Bunker than someone interested in monitoring crime in his neighborhood.

Exactly correct.

Last time I checked, walking was not a crime[yet]. Zimmerman doesn't have the legal authority to stop, question or detain anyone. This situation transcends race.

When will they arrest Zimmerman? This is crazy that he's out on the streets.

I hate to say this but I'm not confident in the State of Florida. I foresee the Justice Department stepping in.

Arrest him for what?

They said they do not have enough evidence to arrest him.

When they do I am sure they will.

You cannot just go around arresting people because you do not like what happened.
