Default land in Florida

Hi There

Depends on where your looking, I have seen parcels from 1 - 100 acres. Also the biggest question is what’s your price range? I have found that there is more available between Central and South Florida, but a lot of wetland. Any time you buy land in Florida.....Never buy sight unseen!!!! Many areas could be wetland or prone to sink holes. If you are interested in buying land in Florida always check with that county for the zoning restrictions as well and make sure that you can use the land in the way that you had intended. Many land listings here are not detailed at all and often the owner of the land may know very little about it. Do your homework and always read the fine print. I hear about people buying land like on ebay and through tax lien auctions only to find out that it is landlocked or wetland etc. Sorry for going off on a tangent there but just wanted to give some friendly advice. Its here you just have to look hard for it to find the good deals.

Research a small town one hour north of Tampa, called Ridge Manor. It's in the sticks, but good things are happening there. (I know from personal experience.)

Default Not in Clearwater

Not in Pinellas County unless you want to pay several hundred dollars for a very small spot, tear down what is there now and rebuild. There is almost no vacant land anywhere. In fact down the street from me they are actually building a park. They had to clear the land, replant the trees, make a lake ect.

Default Land

Look in Lafayette County (Mayo) and in Columbia County, for that matter the entire northern tier of the state. My GF bought 11 acres off the Suwannee River for 21k in Lafayette County in 2000. The going price for = areas now is about 36-50k.
