It's clear that the least amount of information was included in order to get an arrest made. Some of the statements could come back to haunt the prosecuters if it turns out they do not have evidence that 1. Zimmerman continued to chase after Martin after he was "instructed not to" pursue him. 2. as CNN followed up on the recording and it sure sounded like George said "f...g cold" and not "f...g punks". Actually that is the first time punks has ever been used to describe what was said. 3. What evidence do they have that Z confronted M? I guess we will have to wait and see. Hopefully they have something or else they will look real stupid on that part of the affidavit.

The last paragrapgh is laughable. They pretty much say that they only included enough information to make sure they could arrest him for 2nd degree murder, and fail to include facts they obviously have that could possibly avoid such an arrest, such as the injuries to GZ that police officers made note of in their reports.

My opinion, if they do not have evidence to support the affidavit as outlined above is that Angela's career is over in Florida. It will go down as one of the most PC political hack jobs ever perpetrated by a prosecutor.

At the very least, from what has been available for the public thus far, any person involved in any type of incident that could be construed as criminal has to be frightened that an overzealous prosecture could put together an affidavit in this manner in order to get them arrested on the flimsiest of details. It is scary as hell. These are probably tactics that prosecutors have used in the past to put a lot of people without good counsel behind bars for long periods, especially in the African American community.

I have considered both possibilities and the more plausible scenario in my opinion is the guy with the gun hunted down the younger man and shot him rather than the younger man hunted down the the guy with the gun and got himself shot.
Perhaps the upcoming court case will shed some light on evidence that will change our speculation and opinions into something more based on facts.

I would agree with you if I knew what was in Angela Corey's head, but nobody does. Sure, maybe this is all for show, since our new Governor isn't very popular. Or maybe these tougher charges will be reduced after everyone calms down. After all, people get sick and tired of waiting around, and a trial takes a long, long time.

Everyone also fails to remember that the homicide detective who was very experienced, Chris Serino, filed an affidavit on Feb 26 and wanted Zimmerman arrested on manslaughter charges. So he had to believe there was probably cause. Yes, he is not an attorney, but a homicide investigator knows what questions to ask when there is a shooting.

I doubt if this will go to trial, but we just have to wait. Right now he's probably in the safest place he can be, considering that he can't even walk down the street. On the other hand, if I had to go by the old pictures, I never would have recognized him. Now I think he looks a lot like his brother.
