Default Health Insurance Cost ?

Moving to Fl in next 6 months to year, Pensacola specifically. That forum in not very active however so in the interest of getting more responses I'll put it here. I am a registered nurse my husband has a class A CDL. Couple kids, typical family. Anyway trying to guesstimate what our health insurance is going to cost us. Can you share how much is being taken out of your pay for health insurance/dental. I'll assume its bi-weekly I don't think anyone gets paid weekly anymore. If you don't want to put it out there on the internet feel free to PM it to me. Thank you!

This is an impossible question to answer. There are too many variables

It will depend on what, if anything, your employer or your husband's employer offers as health plan and how much the employer pays into it. It will depend on what level of coverage you choose if you have an employer offered health plan.

It will depend upon your ages, the ages of your children and your own and children's health history, pre-existing conditions etc.

You could look into Florida KidCare which is heath insurance offered by the state to children under 18, even if parents are working. Whether your kids would qualify would depend on your income and several other factors.

Basically you've got to finds jobs first, and then figure out health care from there.

I understand all that I am just looking for a few rough examples of what people are paying out there in the real world.

Through my last employer I was paying about $500/mo for a family of 5. No deductible or coinsurance. It was co-pays only. It was a great plan

Now - needing to get insurance on my own I am looking at $1500/mo with 80-20 and a $2500 deductible.

Needless to say, I am currently uninsured.
