Default Upscale Areas in Florida

Are there any areas in Florida that are extremely white collar/ young professional and feel like Arlington, VA or Alexandria, VA, Uptown Dallas, or Lincoln Park- Chicago? I am trying to find that here in FL. I know of Brickell and Coral Gables in Miami, Downtown FTL, and Winter Park, I have heard South Tampa/Hyde Park, is there anything else?

Haile Plantation Gainesville FL
What profession are you in/looking for?
Jacksonville comes to mind.....
Need more details on what you are looking for -- Coral Gables, Miami and Tampa are all VERY different.
There is also Boca Raton, Boca Grande and there are white collar areas that still focus on the tourist industry like Orlando.

Cool Le Beau Monde Floride

The areas you mention in your OP are gentrified pedestrian neighborhoods of larger cities -- or just regular suburbs. So which type is preferable (or is it the white upscaleness that really counts)? Florida is also full of gated communities...what about them?

NOTE: Some of these areas might surpass the I.Q. and worldliness levels comparatively mentioned...Some of them may not.
  • St Armond's Circle - Sarasota
  • Young Circle/Hollywood - Ft Lauderdale
  • Delray Beach
  • Jupiter Island
  • Singer Island
  • Deerfield Beach - Ft Lauderdale
  • Lighthouse Point - Ft Lauderdale
  • Key West (Old Town)
  • San Marcos - Jax
  • Atlantic Beach - Jax
  • South Miami
  • Key Biscayne
  • Pinecrest
  • Bal Harbour
  • Naples
  • New Smyrna Beach
  • Ponce Inlet
  • Vero Beach
  • Jensen Beach/Sewall/Hutchinson Island
Big Hugs + Kisses!!!

Northeast St. Petersburg should be added to the list.

First off I would drop Winter Park from the list. I lived in DC for close to 10 years and know the difference. By comparison to the rest of the Orlando area it's more professional, but that's not saying a whole lot. The only similar areas (or even close) in Florida to Arlington or Alexandria's single white collar/young professional population are Brickell Avenue in Miami, Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Downtown West Palm Beach and Westshore/Hyde Park/Davis Island/Channel District in Tampa.
