I'm a 24 year old female currently living in Pittsburgh but looking to move to Florida in January. I like to go out to bars and meet new people! I want to live closer to a beach and I plan on getting a job as a bartender or server. I also want to live in a safe yet affordable area that is not too spread out. If anyone could help me or point me in the right direction that'd be great! Thanks!!

I would say Miami except for the affordable part. The problem is that the rest of your criteria tend to point toward the less affordable cities/areas. Sarasota may also be worth a look.

Most people have been telling me Sarasota - I'm looking to stay away from Miami or Ft Lauderdale.. I have friends that moved there right out of highschool and they love it but all they do is party and I'd rather not

Jacksonville/Jax Beach might be another option. Melbourne/Space coast has a decent young professional population thanks to the defense-related/NASA-related companies that are concentrated there. There's a nice little downtown with bars and restaurants.

I agree. It's more laidback and has plenty of younger people.

If I had to live in Hialeah, I wouldn't come to FL either
