Emerald Cost Northwest Florida, Soft white sand that squeaks under your feet. Lush Florida wilderness. Some of the clearest sand-bottom rivers in the country. An emerald blue sea. And everywhere, miles and miles of footpaths and multi-use trails for quiet strolling, hiking, biking, rollerblading, horseback riding and bird watching. From Destin to Pensacola.

I love the Naples beaches! It is so much fun to take a couple of beach chairs and a bottle of chilled wine to the beach in the evening and watch the sunset. Sometimes it is just so beautiful and soul-stirring that people actually break out into applause!
Vanderbilt Beach is great - a large parking garage, restrooms and a vast, clean beach. Lots of nice, beach front eateries along their coast line.
One of our favorites is "Gumbo Limbo" at the Ritz Carlton. A wonderful place to enjoy food and drink on the beach, and watch the glorious sunset. Gotta get there early though, it's a favorite spot for many people!

I love the quiet beaches of Sanibel and the amazing sunsets there. The shells are always bountiful there.

Um, you missed part of it.
But I guess that's why they call our neck of the woods the Forgotten Coast.
Mexico Beach, St Joe Beach, Port St Joe, Cape San Blas, Apalachicola.
For unspoiled natural beauty and scenic delights, it does not get much better than here. I don't know too many places where I can be alone on a gorgeous white sand beach and watch bald eagles sail past.

There is an awesome dog beach in Venice, just past Sharkey's on Harbor Drive. There is a nice fenced area with a place to give your dog a bath before you get back in the car. The beach area is very clean and is unfenced. "Mutt-mitts" are provided.
