My family may relocate to Crestview, Fl in the very near future. I have tried to get some information relevant to a particular home we are looking at, but have not been able to get anywhere. So here goes:
- does anybody know the demographics of Chestnut Ave in Crestview, Florida? I hear there is little crime in the area, but what about ethnic mix, socioeconomic level, etc. ?
- does anybody know how many CSX freight trains pass through Crestview every day? The home is located V E R Y close to the train trestle.

Welcome to Northwest Florida,

This area is growing by leaps and bounds. Lots of government contractors have build facilities to sustain the USAF mission in the area. A great number of military families live in Crestview. They found affordable housing, better schools, and a rural town that is easy going and comfortable to live in.

Demographics of Chestnut Ave in Crestview, Florida: use the following link from this forum: http://www.city-data.com/city/Crestview-Florida.html
And crime/demographics info can be found on the Okaloosa county website,

The CSX website does not provide a train schedule, but the tracks are very close to the house (see map quest). I’ll ask at work and see if my Crestview co-workers know about the train schedule and any complains.

Default Had any luck?

Have you had any luck with the house on Chestnut? I live in the area and could tell you the information you need.

Smile CSX Railroad

The train comes by at least 3 to 4 times a day, but honestly you will not hear it after awhile, Trust me I live and work right beside the same tracks you were asking about.
