Default Family of three earning more than $11K will not qualify for Medicaid in FL

Family of three earning more than $11K will not qualify for Medicaid.

Link: Anti-Medicaid states: Earning $11,000 is too much - Yahoo! News

How the heck can family of three afford basic utilities(housing, food, transportation and other expenses) and still have money leftover for healthcare?

Is Gov Scott listening?

Why are there 3 of you if your only earning $11k a year? If someone looses a job that's one thing, but if you make $11k a yr and have a kid, you obviously Expect the taxpayer to take care of it.
If You can't afford children, don't have any!

I can understand both sides of this story, but, realistically nothing is gained by excluding anyone from coverage. They still have to be treated, at a much higher cost, in the er. It only makes sense to insure everybody.

Look into Florida KidCare. Program is better and has higher income limits.

I'm sure someone at Walmart, Mcdonalds, or a milk farm is hiring. In fact, milk farms pay pretty well. Make it mandatory if they are taking government handouts. Would solve the illegal immigrant problem as well

So you're saying that everyone without a job is lazy or has a sense of entitlement? If that's the case, don't you think the unemployment numbers would remain pretty stable at about 4%?
