Not really, neither of the major hospital chains in the area (Orlando Health and Florida Health) is doing much hiring other than filling spots when and where necessary. Retail and Hospitality are seemingly the only industries doing a lot of hiring, primarily for part-time/no benefits hourly positions.

Add Plastic Surgeons to the list too...With all these women and some Men there is alot of money in that field in South Florida

Demographically, Florida is comprised of a large number of large, diverse markets. In my opinion, the overall industrial health might look something like this:

UP
Medical/Healthcare
Hospitality/Service Sector (Tourism-related)
Retail
High Tech
College/Education
Recreational
Distribution

HANGING-ON or DECLINING
Banking/Finance
Construction
Manufacturing
