Florida Slow Market Breeds Seller Creativity
Is this the way to do business:
Home owner in Ormond beachside selling home for $349,000 but only one person came by to take a look in three months. So she decided the asking price could drop $14,000 - with some incentives.
Her new deal includes not only a pool home with an in-law apartment on Ponce De Leon Drive, but also appliances, washer, dryer, home warranty, termite bond - and a 1998 Honda CR-V valued at $5,000.
“The furniture is negotiable, and if they want the dog, they can have him, too,”
I believe that the mark-up on this home is over 60%, but can everyone afford to do the same.....

If the seller owned a Lamborghini he/she will not be concerned with this matter. The ones that are not so fluent in cash are the ones that are taking matters on their hands to bring in a buyer in....

I have seen everything from free cruises, boats, BMW/Mercedes. That is apart from the "normal" paying mortgage, closing costs, HOA fees for a year.
We just went to a wine and cheese tasting open house yesterday sponsored by the builder. Selection of 12 international wines, cheeses, and caviar. We couldn't park because it was so crowded.

IMO, it's just ridiculous at the "incentives" offered by builders and sellers have to do it to compete. It's sad... What buyer in their right mind would want to amortize a 1998 Honda CRV over 30 years in a mortgage? I don't get it.

I agree!
I would never even add my appliances, furniture or landscaping either! (just my personal feelings... It is just silly!)
