It is sweet. Some of the best fishing in the country. Decent schools. Some would say though that it may be a little spotty.

Thanks for the info. My sisters Family moved there and bought a really nice home. Curious how the hurricanes affect the area too.

I love it. Anything close to the water is great and it is also good place to raise a family. I have relatives that live there and have thought about moving there myself.

MI is rather pricey. This whole part of FL (central coast) doesn't get hit too bad from the hurricanes. And the past few years there haven't been any (knock on wood lol) Taxes in FL and homeowners ins will kill ya.

North End of Merritt Island is the Kennedy Space Center. All shuttle launches will end in 2010....nothing going up, except USAF launches..... next scheduled manned launch 2013-14-15?
