Hi, My name is Kelsey. I am about to make the biggest change of my life, leave everything I know here in RI and move to Seminole FL with my parents. They live in a 55+ community, so their home is a temporary fix, I must immediately find work and housing for my children and I. I will be working in the food and beverage industry, as I'm a life time waitress, and I believe the market for work will be better there for me. I really want to find a nice small country town, but I want to be able to work in a bigger city area within a easy drive. Public transportation will be important too. Does anyone know of any towns close to Seminole I should be looking in. I do not want to head out to far from my folks at first, as they will be all i know there. I am heading there with just my 18 month old first, but need to move the rest of my family down within a few months time. I'm so scared, but I am in desperate need of year round work, which is impossible here in snowville. Any information or websites you can send me will be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much and god bless!

It's not a "country town" (kind of a standard suburb) but I would recommend staying put in Seminole since you have kids. Seminole's schools are very good and among the top school districts in the Tampa Bay area. It's a pretty safe area as well. Seminole isn't large (population 17,000) but borders much larger St Petersburg (population 245,000) which would offer lots of server jobs with all of the hotels and restaurants around. Pinellas Transit offers fairly decent bus service in the area with three bus routes (18,58,74) servicing Seminole, here's the website...PSTA
