We are relocating. I got a job in Ocklawaha but my brother lives in Fleming Island. We have 5 children and want a safe area with good schools. What would you recommend that is about 1/2 way between?

There's not much of anything halfway in between other than Palatka which has some of the worst schools in the state and isn't one of the more desirable cities either. I'd recommend staying closer to work and look in Ocala which is a short commute from Ocklawaha. Check out the SE side closest to work (15-20 minutes) as it luckily has the best school district in the city, Ocala Forest HS ("A"-rated).
