My wife and I looked at homes there and it seems like a very nice place. Does anyone have some input on this location. Rainbow springs park is right next door.

We live in the classic hills area approx 4 mile east on 40 from the intersection of 41 and 40 (shell station and Roccos Pizza) Being from west palm, it is really nice in every way. We visit Rainbow Springs State Park on a regular basis during the summer-72 degree water ummmm. The basic gripe I have about this area is the low wages. You can almost make as much feeding horses as you can learning a building trade.

I visited The Villages of Rainbow Springs and fell in love with the area. Walmart was just being built in Dunnellon. I understand the golf course was bought out and not being maintained and is for sale. The builder no longer exists. There were also a lot of social activities. Are there other public areas and are they maintained? Is there still a resident boat dock? I understand the poa is much smaller now and no CDD etc. What does all of this mean to the residents of the Villages of Rainbow Springs. I would like an update on the current status of the Villages of Rainbow Springs. Has the town expanded? Is the neighborhood in ruins or still nicely maintained for most part. Is there much socialization among the residents? Is there a Dunnellon Police Dept and are they in financial trouble? Is the neighborhood primarily residents or snow birds? Thanks for any local information you can provide. Is there a Homegoods, Marshalls, Ross, TJ Maxx in the area?
