Yes, jobs, especially good-paying jobs can be a challenge to find here. Most are tourist industry / service related and seasonal too. However, we do believe as this area continues to grow and the population becomes more diverse, there will be economic development that comes with it. And the airport, in our opinion, will be a large contributor to this.
It is a lovely place indeed. We went out for a 3 mile walk today from Watersound to Deer Lake Park and back to Watersound via the beach. Absolutely spectacular --- makes you remember why people came here to begin with.
