Default Clearest water on the Gulf Coast

I've been to Marco Island, Naples, Fort Myers, and Sanibel/Captiva... Although these places are really nice.. However,
the ocean was really murky at all these beaches..
Is it nicer up past Tampa & the Pannhandle??? Destin/Panama City???
I would imagine there is less swamp water coming in and out with the tides as in SW Florida..
Most of the time when I've visited South Beach the water was a real nice green and crystal clear... You could also walk out a mile with the sand bars...
And Bahia Honda's Standspur beach is almost like something you'd see in the Bahammas..
Let's here it!!!!!!!
Pics would be really nice...

All I know is, those picture that Sunrico sends of Navarre make my jaw drop every time I see them. That's on the panhandle.

I need to get up to the panhandle some time...our beaches over here can rival that color, but not that sand or serenity. I love going to the gulf coast (Naples) just to relax, read a book, listening to the waves crash, and actually attain some peace.

It is beautiful up there. We lived in Pensacola for 18 months and spent time all along those beaches. The problem we had was the humidity. For whatever reason the humidity seemed brutal there compared to Jupiter and Boca. The only other place I felt like that was some coastal spots in Texas.

We are going in our 10th year and we love it. We got used to the humidity and is not that bad. I visited Lexington KY and the humidity was worst in the summer, also Grand Forks ND is also worst than ours....

It's the GULF. There is a major difference between the gulf and the ocean.

Long Islander for 20 years.
