The irony of you attending a vastly inferior school after posting this was the point. Maybe companies will forget about the lesser quality of students though and recruit there since it is in the Northwest!

The fact that you would make a claim attempting to asses a school's worth based on the acceptance rate is ignorant at best. Absolutely dumbfounding and pathetic at worst.
Just because a school is not especially stringent in their admission requirements doesn't yield a less quality education by any means. In fact, the northwest region has many more well respected schools than the southeast by a long shot, which may be why UF is so overrated. A moderate school that wouldn't be particularly special by northwest standards looks like a real diamond in the rough by southeast standards.
Further evidence that abolishes your flawed theory of the relationship between admission statistics and inferiority:
About Carroll

This is a school in the northwest with a 71 percent acceptance rate, which has an amazing 85 percent success rate of getting their pre-med students into med school. Compare this to the measely 8-10 percent med school acceptance rate at UF.

Are you seriously saying that acceptance rates don't matter but started this thread about UF having a bad rep based on some high school kids that wearing UF shirts?
You stating that UF is overrated shows your complete lack of any knowledge of anthing collegiate related. Is it possible that it is just sour grapes that you did not get accepted to UF?
And what does a college, that you are not going to and that is in another state from both the college you are going to and the college this thread was started about, have to do with anything?

Because I am from the area and thought it would be worth it to post a different opinion on the topic.

You keep telling yourself what you need to hear to justify paying a lot more for an inferior school. Use whatever measure you like. Student profile/Rankings/etc. All will show you are attending a school inferior to the one you are bashing.
