Wow, thats scarey! Yeah, people still drive as if the roads are dry and clear.

Please I heard every talking about how terrible it is, and depressing.. Its NOT THAT bad. You want to talk about exaggerating... There's more of it about the snow than any of us ever dish about Florida. People had me scared to death to move up north like it was going to be some horrible miserable experience 11 months out of the year. Telling me I'll be back to Florida in a year or so..Give me a break, the last thing today I ever wanted to think about was Florida. Today was my first time ever driving in this amount snow.. I went to a parking lot and tried it out ... I slid a couple times, till I got the hang of it.. It was scary and tricky but once I got a feel for what happens when you turn, brake and what not I got better. I love my jacket, and gloves and hat btw.. I'm not exactly bikini worthy so its not like I ever enjoyed wearing shorts and tanks anyways.. And I now have horrible foot problems from living in Flip Flops the last 20 years.. I had to had surgery on my feet to correct all that, so for me,, is opposite from ya'll lol.. I had enough of the sun.. I'm diggin the grey days.

Well, to each its own. I guess it would make for a truly boring world if we all felt the same way about things.

Why it the world would someone move from the the snow covered north to the sub tropics? or vice versa ? Talk about a change, I guess they never heard the story of the three bears. Too hot, too cold, and just right.

I like Florida, it's nice. But think about it for a second. The only good thing about Florida is the weather.
If you changed Floridas weather, it would be a horrible place.
If the north had the same weather as Florida, no one would live in Florida. Northern summers are wayyyyyyyyy better than florida any time of year.
The lush maple trees and green grass on rolling hills that turn into mountains.

The weather is not the only good thing about Florida, its that beautiful water and that sand. Everytime I look at that ocean, it moves me and gives me a sense of peace inside, something that I don't feel too often (sorry for being so melodramatic). A feeling I can't explain. But that is my personal preference. You talk about lush maple trees and green grass on rolling hills, I live here in Washington with Mt. Rainier and Mt. St.Helens, they are as awesome as anything could ever be, trees that are tall and green, Seattle a city that is awesome, but yet I'd rather be in Florida. It all comes down to personal preference that's all.

I agree. The beach and sand and ocean and palm trees do it for me. I have no interest in hills or maple trees. To each their own.

Bottom line is:
People who live in Florida want something different...
The people up North want something different...
While I'm at work day dreaming about being on South Beach floating around with tropical scenery... The person in Florida is wishing they could see a snow storm... And both of us think it's crazy someone would want to live here...
