Floridabound is coming to Florida again, this time for pleasure.

I am thinking of coming to Destin/FWB for the long weekend next week. DD has time off of school and a quick trip to the area would be super.

Any suggestion on where to stay in this area? Beachfront, lots of pools, good food etc?

It's been two years since I have been to Destin area so I am not up on all the new changes.

Appreciate any input !

Hey Floridabound,

Just a suggestion --- but while you are in the Destin / FWB area, perhaps you may want to check out our end of the beach too ... the Scenic Highway 30A and the Beaches of South Walton. The weather over the last couple of days has been amazing --- so we're thinking it is a perfect time to visit!!!! If you need any ideas or suggestions of places to stay, we would be happy to try and help ... just send us an email. We wish you a wonderful & safe trip!

Weather is great. Destin by far has more places to stay and to eat than FWB.
Check the sites that 2bohemians posted. For food Chris Ruth is you feel hungry and rich. BoneFish is also very good and the TGIF crow is superb, breakfast at Two broken eggs and The Doughnut Hole is really good... The Pier in Okaloosa Island has many excellent restaurants within the location. Local places IN FWB Old Bay Steamer, Crab Trap, cafe Italia are good choices.
