You beat me to it.
There will be some other issue in the next couple months that will attract the short attention spans of the media and the populous...remember that woman on trial for the murder of her daughter...what's her name?

We could use a few less dip$#!+$ around here though.

hat

Casey Anthony. Is she a threat to society? I don't think so. I would not personally be afraid of her. George Zimmerman, and his gun, IS a threat to society. I would not want to be anywhere near him and his gun.

That is the difference.

You're right. Trust me, the next time I decide to jump someone and beat them down to the ground, I'll keep in mind they could be legally carrying a concealed weapon and might be able to defend themselves... least, I will if I'm beating them down in the State of Florida.

Wait, is Florida the only state people are allowed to defend themselves?

Wow, boycotting a state because they allow people to defend themselves. Doesn't seem so win-win. I am certain if you ever had to defend yourself that you would want the same rights. Florida is still okay in my book and for that matter, every other state. Laws are laws. They aren't just made up for the heck of it.

Why would I boycot a place I've only been to visit 4 times? That is about the silliest thing I have ever heard of. BIG TALK with no action or followup. This story will get old in another week or so and people will forget all about it because some new shiny pretty crisis will take the front page.

I can think of many reasons to boycott Florida, doing so for a court case the media has blown out of proportion isnt one of them, there must be hundreds of court cases going on everyday in Fla if i were to live my life according to their outcomes life would become very complex and probably very uneventful as i'm sure that the results of all the court cases in Fla. on any given day could prevent me from doing anything if op's rational is applied.

People are angry and need a way to vent, so they get melodramatic and make outrageous claims such as they're boycotting an entire state without stopping to think first.

When they grow weary of their mundane existences or nearly freeze into position during a bleak, unforgiving winter, they'll pick up that Florida brochure and book their flights again.

He is only a threat to those who would try to do him harm......such as TM. Lesson learned, don't jump someone who may have a gun to protect himself with.
