Does Key West have pretty beaches? Sounds like there might be more to do in Clearwater since Busch Gardens and Pier 60 are close. We found a house in Indian Rocks that we really like. It's close to one eatery, but not walking distance to anything else.... but we really like it!

Indian Rocks Beach is a wonderful beach town with all low-rise development and a bit of an old-Florida vibe. I'm shocked that you're only walking distance to one eatery as there are a good number clustered together in town, unless you're on the extreme north end...? Be sure to check out Keegan's (great seafood, try the Grouper Sandwich!), Tapas Garden (good selection of small plates for sharing and a nice outdoor area with live entertainment) and Guppy's (modern American menu).

I'm going to have to say this, and I'm sure to get a lot of flack, but Miami is the place you want. Don't be intimadated by the thought of it. If you want a party atmosphere with a wide choice of beaches and entertainment, Miami is the best choice.

Careful parasailing, it's not regulated yet. Try and find a reputable parasailing business. In April, the water is still a bit cold. However, for those from up north or used to colder water, it might be ok.

What about a hotel instead of a house? The nicest beach areas in Florida have huge houses - but they're generally not for rent. How about something in Palm Beach? Like The Breakers? Robyn

Miami/Miami Beach/Key Biscayne would be on my radar screen too. Robyn
