Indian Rocks Beach is a wonderful beach town with all low-rise development and a bit of an old-Florida vibe. I'm going to have to say this, and I'm sure to get a lot of flack, but Miami is the place you want. Don't be intimadated by the thought of it. If you want a party atmosphere with a wide choice of beaches and entertainment, Miami is the best choice.

Careful parasailing, it's not regulated yet. Try and find a reputable parasailing business. In April, the water is still a bit cold. However, for those from up north or used to colder water, it might be ok.

What about a hotel instead of a house? The nicest beach areas in Florida have huge houses - but they're generally not for rent. How about something in Palm Beach? Like The Breakers? Robyn
