Sorry for the multiple threads,.= but i am close to making my move..and am very
anxious about my decision, as I want to make sure it is the right place, so I don't have to move again, and once again, put my little guy, thru much trauma of leaving a familiar environememt/
I DID WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU SOME VERY POSITIVE AND DIFFERENT FROM NJ/NJ experiences. Everyone single person I met was very kind, helpful and friendly. There was not the rudeness, and only about me and about important people think they are here -- especially the ones that think that are rich now their houses have gone so much in value. I mean everyone was friendly - the gas station attendants, people stopped and talked to me on the street and gave me insights into the neighborhoods I was looking at - and from opinion, it was not slow,,,as everyone thinks it is up here...and there werent as many old people...as so often is thought of in Florida - altho I think I was looking at predominatly more younger communities with not a high amount of snowbirds. I do absolutely love the weather. We live thru such a depressing 6 month period here covered with grey skies, cold, damp weather, harsh cold winds,,,,and most of us just hibernate in the winter, get fat, and ultimately depressed. We kinda become home bound.
Anyway, I've gone on too long again, and just wanted share some of the upsides that I experience. People seem to be healthier and more physically fit - just by virtue that that are out and about all year...doing something physical - even if it just walking year rold - which we can't do.
Can you tell me how prevalant "clicks" are in these towns. I can't stand that.
And how long would take it for my son to be accepted by new friends, and me into new circles of friend. I am a good, loving, compassionate, friendly, outgoing person. So.....
Thanks again, fellow Floridians.
