I'm pretty partial to this one, but it may fall under the stupid criminal category, not just the unusual death.

Best watch dog (gator) was well known on the reservation and employees had nicknamed it Poncho.

I'm sorry, but the headline "Thief Eaten by Gator" pretty much sums up Florida. You can't make this stuff up.

Next time someone asks, "Is Florida a nice place to move to?" I can send them the link to the story. It won't make any sense until they've been in Florida for a couple of years.

Evenif he was drunk, I don't understand why the man had to use the cat door.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to pound on the big people door and holler "WIIILLLLMAAAAA"......
