Hello everyone. This is my first post here.

I currently live in Independence, MO and I want to move back to Florida. I used to live in Orlando when I was a teen, but my parents thought moving back to MO was a good idea. For various reasons, I want to go back and I need to know do any of you in FL know of any monthly rate hotels? I currently live in a hotel with monthly rates, so I assume there must be more elsewhere. I could be wrong. Every place I've called says they only have 28 day rates, and that is just silly to me. Or, if you know of anyone who has a cheap single family home they are willing to rent to someone who is disabled, that would help as well. I've been searching for quite some time now and decided that it's time to find some forums with people willing to help. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

I guess they do 28 days because that's 4 weeks and a monthly rate would give you 2 or 3 extra days most months.

When I first moved to Broward 5 years ago I found a motel in Dania Beach that had rooms at a nearby property by the week and I guess by the month too, It was like $250 plus tax which is like 11% here. It was a decent place, it was like a studio/efficiency or more like a bedroom with a full small kitchen. The only thing that sucked is that they didn't have cable TV and you could only watch 2 or 3 fuzzy channels.

I found the motel on Craigslist, so that's a place to look.
