I'm looking for a cheap car that's good on gas and for traveling. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired and wish to leave Florida and never look back. I've sold almost everything I own except for a camera, my phone, and a few pairs of clothing and a laptop and for my current car I can sell it for $14,000 and just any help or information would be great because I'm trying and not getting very far; all the thoughts in my head just keep clashing against each other.

It'd be nice to have a little seed money left over from selling the car, as I only have a little over $1,000 saved...

I want to travel across the United States to Colorado, California and up into Canada from Miami, Florida...

Look for a Toyota Camry, maybe something in the 2008-2010 range, around 75,000 miles, should be able to pick one up for around $14,000 and the car will take good care of you fo a long trip

I'd go with a Hyundai if you want to keep a little more money for yourself. They have great reliability ratings too.

What kind of car do you have now?
I just completed a 10,000 kilometer trip in my Toyota Yaris with no problems or issues at all.
$1000 isnt going to last very long on the scope of trip you have planned..
