I don't know how to post to individual posts, so here is a "mass" post. In regards to my earlier posts and responses to it:
1) We have about $385 or so in our house when all is said and done.
2) I had posted about hte county allowing massive building and that led to all these homes without enough people to move into them. No, that is not what I did. We didnt' build a spec home to flip, we build our family home. Also, the developer of our neighborhood kept getting approved to do more neighborhoods when he was nowhere near finishing prior ones up. that is what I was referring to. Also, mortgage companies lending to anyone with all the "creative" financing contributed to this mess.
On that note-what's done is done -move on....
I hope you are able to get this worked out. I sure feel your pain. No one is even looking at our house. The neighborhood is gated, so that is a problem too. The board will not allow that gate to open for anyhting (not even my open houses)! We are moving to LA. and the market there is very strong. Otherwise, I would say it balances out-sell low and buy low. The have very little iinventory there, so people are getting their prices, not much negotiating. If the mass. market is soft then you should be fine. Negotiate the heck out of your new house-that is not an option for me!
Let us know how it turns out. I hope you get your dreams to come true.
