A Christmas Carol with Reginald Owen 1938 also the version in 1951 called Scrooge with Alastair Sim. I love the scrooge character. It have never been done better then these two.

A Christmas Story with Peter Billingsley is pretty popular in my house. It's sort of been a tradition with my family pretty much since it came out in the 80s.

After the kids go to bed we usually watch The Ref with Denis Leary. It still makes me laugh.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit I also like Scrooged, with Bill Murry.
Also, "Going my Way" & "The Bell's of St. Marys", as well as "Holiday Inn", the first movie with White Christmas in it......better then "White Christmas".

Another favorite is "The Fourth Wise Man", with Charlie and Martin Sheen....check it out.
Also, "The Christmas Wish", with Mimi Rodgers, and "The night they saved Christmas" with Jacqueline Smith.
Another good one is "The Christmas Gift" with John Denver.....

There's more, but I got to go....
I think we are going to depend on some of these movies this year to help us with Christmas....it will be our first in Florida, no snow, etc....strange!

Elf is great....love the Norwall !!!!

A Christmas Story is one my of my favorites. The whole family can quote large chunks of the movie. It's classic!

Other staples in the Christmas movie rotation are: A Charlie Brown Christmas and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Now I want to go home and watch them

Apocalypse Now, The Deer Hunter,.........oh, you want happy movies?

Along with the already mentioned National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Bad Santa is one that gets me in the spirit .
