Anyone live in Winter Haven ?....we go there often and its a nice little city...
at one point last yr we were even considering a move there...but then the market fell...so we are stuck in the Crappy area we live for right now...its not really crappy but its starting to get alot of crime .. there are TONS of Peurto Ricans living here that don't speak much english!. and seems like there is alot of trash living here to... the homes at one time were pretty cheap newly built ...but now , like everywhere its getting pricey...its not a "city" but is should be....the head person of the HOmeowners asso is a complete idiot and seems to see everything is rosey.. basically could care less about the Little people in the "villeges" but the people in the fancy shmancy "retirement villeges" they get all the Attention...
I hoping the housing market picks back up within the next two yrs or so so we can get out of here!....
we were thinking winter haven , Auburndale, or lake wales.....
or out of state!

My family and I are also looking to move to The Winter Haven area from Northwest Ohio. I have read a lot of negative about Florida. Can anyone give me some postitives about Florida. Every state and town has problems. Alot of factories in Northwest Ohio are moving west or south. My husband has had a job offer here in Florida. We are flying down this month to look around.

Winter Haven Is Very Nice, its a maller town but not so small that it does'nt have things....
Property and Insurance might kill ya down here, But Hopefully our new giov will do somthing about that , and not just be blowing smoke...
Evey town has its crime, and there are bad sections of Winter Haven that should be avoioded, such as the western part....
in Realestate its al about location location, well for that i would suggest South East Winter Haven, some more ex*****ve homes , but there are some less ex*****vie ones mixed in, which makes it nice,
There are some newer home Devolpements going up around that area..One Is BowenFamily homes and the other is Lennar...and there is also SouthernHomes. check out thier web sites...
Winter Haven is a Boating paradise, there are MANY lakes, its close enough to hop on the interstate and go to orlando ( if you really must)...
Auburndale is also very nice check that out...not to far from winter haven..

I was jut on Realtor .com and noticed there are alot of homes for sale in Winter Haven..is that bad or good?...
I wounder why people are moving out of Winter Haven?.. is it because its to pricey now ? with inusrance and taxes?...
I know Se Winter Haven is the best place for newer homes.
i just find it strange that now that the market is at rock bottom people are trying to sell ...

building is starting to pick back up around winter haven and polk county, wich can only mean houses are starting to sell again, so NOW might be the best time to buy
