And so is what you wrote....

A small industrial area in New Jersey has a reputation of "smelling"....

The vast majority of the state is small towns, forests, farmland, and suburbia....

They don't call it the "garden state" because it smells like a factory...

Have you ever eaten a New Jersey Tomato?....

Best you will ever taste.....that's not subjective!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was told that New Jersey's state motto is "The Armpit of the US". Or maybe it's just the nickname. I drove through Jersey on many occasions and it looked and smelled like one.

Real mountains or not....

There is still a major, full blown ski resort there and a smaller one too....

Except for CALI.....western states (like Colorado) don't have an ocean...

Or a New York City for that matter.

My husband and I moved to south Florida in the early 70's because the weather was good - and we thought our job opportunities would be better than they were in the NE. We were right on both counts. OTOH - we're (now retired) lawyers - and the legal landscape has changed (not only in Florida - but in most of the country). Robyn

That nickname was given by people who don't know sh$t about New Jersey....

Let me guess....

You drove on the New Jersey Turnpike right?....

Garden State Parkway maybe?...

Judging a state from the highway or interstate is ridiculous.

What about OR and WA? Wait. those are in Canada. Ok.

Best part of New Jersey is West NY. *joke*

Somehow I knew someone would bring up OR and WA.....

Obviously they both have mountains and ocean...

That's kinda why I put "like Colorado".

yes its great if one can actually make a nice living and live the way they intend too...and from what I have seen in 3 years, unfortunately that isn't the case for so many Florida loving people...As far as NJ is concerned like anywhere else it has its cons, I have lived in 5 different states and can tell you a lot of differences, NJ being one of my favorites but im from here, and Florida was our 2nd favorite place....it was even better when it was nice and warm...
