Moved here way back in 1976. This is home. My kids are natives. Only one time did I consider moving....2004 after the 2nd hurricane in 3 weeks damaged our house and we lived without electricity for a week for the 2nd time that year. We moved 10 miles inland in 2006.

I so want to move down. It's 42° up here on April 30th. My parents and my brother and sister-in-law are down there, but my youngest is still in high school, so we're stuck up here for a while longer...

Soooo glad i made the move 5 months ago, should have done it awhile ago! Came from Ohio and never looking back. I guess if there's one thing i would miss about it is my family since they are all still up there. Other than that i'm quite content!

Heat index of 98 today... In April... It will stay that way till at least Nov.. It can get tiring to have that long a summer as it does to have they long a winter.

Ok my story may sound odd but I came to FL in 2004 or so from MA, stayed there 7 yrs, moved a few places but generally stayed in FL. I left FL 3 yrs ago for the West Coast due to a family situation and since moving west, have moved 5 times in 3 years and the cycle may continue if I stay out west and if I can go back to FL, I sure would. I may get a chance down the road but right now I can't do it. I just don't like California very much and I used to be one of those people sometimes who used to ***** about FL too but I actually found it can get worse when you've gone to other places. I find that to love FL completely, you have to go other places and see them to know. I didn't get that luxury and had to find out later what it was like out west. If I could have my way, I'd move on the beach when my stepdad locates to Siesta Key and if I could live with him and he offers, I'd be a fool to refuse so ya, count me in as one of those people who used to think FL sucked, but realized how good it was once he went out west and saw the insanity. I feel that when I was in FL for 7 yrs it was for a reason that I stayed there one of the longest times outside of my time back in MA growing up for 22 years. I regret leaving so much.
