Default Out of Place Foods in Florida

Do you have a favorite place to eat that seems way "out of place" - either ethnic or regional? I'm not talking your dime a dozen chain restaraunts or the plethera of mexican and chinese food places that are cropping up everywhere. I'm talking really unique places, that you don't expect to find in Florida.

Here are my Jacksonville favorites:
Hiro Ya on San Jose - amazing Korean Food, spicy pork bulgogi is great
Cilantros on San Jose - awesome Indian Cuisine, when they say spicy, they mean it
Santa Fe Sunrise breakfast cart on Philips/Bowden - authentic New Mexican red and green chile, very addictive. Only open Mon-Fri mornings

I got a few:

East Bay River Smokehouse; just home cooked BBQ beef, chicken, pork with slaw and baked beans (Navarre). All the small pieces from the meat are mixed with the beans

Buffalo Reef Wings: best chicken wings in town (Fort Walton Beach), hot and hotter

Sugar Loaf Rest: basic breakfast and lunch with a home cooked taste (Navarre)...

I'd expect just about any and every kind of resaraunt in Florida. In Orlando alone (not even including anything in Disney World), we have restaraunts that serve Vietnamese, Indian, Lebonese, Morroccan, Brazilian, Irish, English, German, food.

But, my favorite restaraunt is "Le Coq Au Vin" (sp?). This old Orlando French restaraunt serves french country cooking. My favorite dish is the Venosin and Wild Boar medallians, when in season!!! My second favorite is the Rabbit. I've never found another restaraunt that cooks game as good as this little french restaraunt!

McDonald's on Dale Mabry in Tampa - A little slice of Americana, serving amazing golden french fries, and a hamburger that you could die for-- get this: TWO hamburger patties separated by three freshly baked hamburger buns, topped with shredded lettuce, melted american cheese, and diced onions. Finish it off with pickles and their signature Special Sauce, and you have a creation called the "Big Mac". Look for the golden arches when your tummy starts a grumblin'. If they are lit, that means you're in for a real treat.
