Have you considered fractional ownership? It is common in Ski Resorts in Colorado, ironically this is where Timeshares started but the difference is you own "deeded ownership" which means you can sell, rent, use, will, etc. You own it! Might seem like a sales pitch but is very popular where I live in Colorado and becoming popular in the Carribean, Hawaii, Mexico, Central America, etc. I own a property on Fort Myers Beach of which I will fractionalize when the market turns around but willing to talk if you are interested.
