Lots and lots of nice places on the west coast from very low cost housing in decent areas to off the charts ultra expensive places.
Fla is the golfing capital of the world so you'll have no problems finding something you like in all price levels. Welcome! |

I live in North Port and really like it. There are two wonderful courses locally, Heron Creek- http://www.heron-creek.com/ and Bobcat Trail http://www.bobcattrailgc.com/ Venice has some great condos on the golf course.
Not sure about the Estero & Bonita Springs areas, as I've never lived there. |

I would keep researching and hold off a little longer. The prices still have a long way to come down. Happy searching.

Hi Linda,
I would also look into the possibility of a foreclosure. There are some really great deals right now and you can even find a few in the golf communities. Many of the foreclosure homes have never been lived in. Short sales are a little more difficult to deal with and sometimes sell for more than the asking price. If you have a few months to wait for an answer back from the bank you can possibility find a deal this way as well. |

Why not look at Rotonda West? Englewood is a really nice area. Best for retirees, I think.
