Default Want to relocate to West Coast of Florida

We are looking at renting along the west coast of Florida.

We are looking for a safe city near within 20min of the Gulf. We love to go for walks on the beach.

Any suggestions?

Safe City within 20 minutes of the Gulf......In the Tampa Bay area, I may suggest Dunedin and Safety Harbor.

I suggest North Port. It's about 25 minutes from Englewood Beach. You can get a 3/2/2, 1700 square feet under air, nice neighborhood, 2000 or newer for in the 120,000's. Good luck with your search!

Listen to SoFLGal, she knows her stuff!!!!!!!!! I can tell you we have spent the last two months doing research on North Port and the surrounding area and have just decided on a rental. Very happy with what's available in the area family wise and I am just amazed at how friendly people seem to be in this area. I probably wouldn't recommend it for a "club/party" scene, but for families or those looking for a more peaceful life it seems to be a great place.

blazeko,

I don't know much about North Port, but I know a little about Dunedin and Clearwater and Clearwater Beach. They are not necessarily better than any other place, but they are really nice places to live to be near the Gulf. If you would like to check out some photos of these areas, you can Google my photo blogs: Dunedin Daily Photo, Clearwater Beach Daily Photo, and Clearwater Daily Photo. I hope it will help. Clearwater Beach would be very pricey, but very nice too (like, on the water). Dunedin is not nearly so pricey, but about 20 minutes from Clearwater Beach sand. But Dunedin also has its own beaches.... Dunedin Causeway, and Honeymoon Island, and (by boat) Caladesi Island. Both islands are consistently rated among the top beaches in the country.

Check us out.

Wayne
